{{ pattern.title }}

A professional VSA atlas study covering evidence, alternatives, confirmation, invalidation, traps and risk.

Advanced

Context

Price breaks support but cannot continue downward and quickly returns into the prior structure.

Illustrative campaign snapshot 44: the structure is synthetic and designed only to isolate the evidence sequence for support break with no follow through.

Evidence to read

  1. break below support lacks downside continuation
  2. close improves or next bars recover the level
  3. selling volume does not produce expected result

Expert read

The failed breakdown may show absorption or a shakeout, but only if recovery holds and supply dries up.

Alternative interpretation

It may become bearish again if the recovery is weak and support fails on a retest.

Confirmation required

  • hold above recovered support
  • low-volume test of the broken level
  • demand appears after the test

Invalidation signs

  • new break below support with result
  • rally back above support shows no demand
  • range midpoint remains weak

Common traps

01

assuming failure after one bar

02

buying before recovery holds

03

ignoring broader weakness

Source frame

Wyckoff/VSA educational frame: background first, effort versus result second, confirmation third, risk and invalidation always explicit.
